Free Online Age Calculator — How Old Am I?

Our free age calculator tells you exactly how old you are in years, months and days from your date of birth — no maths, no counting on your fingers. Beyond your age, it breaks the total down into months, weeks, days and even hours lived, tells you which day of the week you were born on, and counts down the days to your next birthday. Everything runs instantly inside your browser, so your date of birth never leaves your device.

It's handy for forms that ask for your exact age, for working out age gaps, checking eligibility by a certain date, or just satisfying curiosity. Change the second date to calculate how old you were on a past date, or how old you'll be on a future one.

🧮 How is my age calculated?

We compare your date of birth to today (or any date you choose), accounting for different month lengths and leap years, to give an exact years-months-days result.

🔒 Is my date of birth private?

Yes. The tool runs entirely in your browser. Your date of birth is never uploaded or stored anywhere.

📆 Can I calculate age on a past or future date?

Yes — set the "age at the date of" field to any date to see how old you were, or will be, on that day.

💯 Is it free?

Completely free, with no sign-up or installation. Use it as often as you like.

How to use the age calculator

  1. Enter your date of birth in the first field, or open the date picker and choose it.
  2. Leave the second field set to today for your current age, or change it to any past or future date.
  3. Read your exact age in years, months and days, along with totals in months, weeks, days and hours.
  4. Check the weekday you were born on and the countdown to your next birthday.

Reading the result

The headline figure is your exact age — the number of whole years, months and days between the two dates, with month lengths and leap years taken into account. Beneath it you also get your total months, weeks, days and hours lived, which is useful when a form or a milestone asks for one specific unit. Changing the age at the date of field recalculates everything for that day, so you can look up how old you were at a past event or how old you will be when a deadline arrives.
