How to use the Diff Checker

Paste your original text into the left box and the modified version into the right box, then hit Compare Text Diffs. The tool highlights every added line in green and every removed line in red, giving you both a clear summary and a copyable diff report.

Why use a side-by-side diff checker?

It shows exactly what changed between two versions of a document, a config file or a block of code. That makes review fast: instead of re-reading the whole file you focus only on inserted, removed and edited lines, whether you are checking a contract revision or a deployed configuration.

Step by step: compare two versions

1. Paste the original text into the left panel.
2. Paste the changed text into the right panel.
3. Read the highlighted differences — additions, deletions and edits are colour-coded.
4. Copy or export the result to share the list of changes with a colleague.

Highlight	What it means
Green	A line that exists only in the new version
Red	A line that was removed or is missing
Yellow	A line that was changed
No colour	Identical in both versions

Making a diff you can trust

• Compare like with like — diffing a config file against a prose document only creates noise.
• Watch for invisible differences such as trailing spaces or tabs, a common cause of "nothing looks changed".
• Run a diff before and after an automated edit to confirm nothing unexpected moved.
• Nothing is uploaded, so it is safe to compare internal configs and credential templates.

Is it private and secure?

Yes. All comparison happens entirely inside your browser. Nothing you paste is ever uploaded, tracked or stored on any server.
